This is where we sit in summer
This is where we sit in summer,
underneath this beautiful tree.
She knows well that we love her,
because she kept her downside free.
Hardly do we cut the branches,
she lets them hang there in the air
and as we pass her to the backyard,
we bow our heads, we do take care.
In Spring she gives us many blossoms,
one by one, untill she's covered white.
Her fruits look like the seeds of roses,
they need a frost before you can bite.
She sure is a treasure in our garden
as her leaves are just whispering fine.
How would anyone not enjoy her,
sitting there, sipping a glass of wine.
